LIFE & Circular Economy: Platform meeting, Milan – June 27th-28th
On June 27th and 28th Saint-Gobain hosted “LIFE Platform Meeting on Circular Economy”, the meeting organized by the LIFE platform that allowed about fifty european researchers to attend and participate in the presentation of some interesting and emblematic research projects.
The first day the event took place at Saint-Gobain Habitat Lab, the training center of the Group which is leader in sustainable building products and systems, in Corsico, near Milan. Besides the projects’ explaination and the debate arisen around them, two workshops have been organized: Replication, Economy (income / growth / jobs) and Enhance the market for secondary raw materials, during which the participants were asked to answer some questions about the state of their LIFE project, the ability to play and transfer technology during/at the end of the project and what are the actions needed to achieve a virtuous exchange of secondary raw materials.
The meeting was concluded at the end of the second day with a guided tour through the production line of Saint-Gobain ISOVER glass wool factory, in Vidalengo Caravaggio (BG) which allowed the guests to see the various stages of “ISOVER 4+” glass wool production process.
